This May, Krypted Gaming will be expanding our roots to the World of Warcraft. After catching sight of the new expansion, Battle for Azeroth, be decided that this would be a great time to expand our horizons and start our very own World of Warcraft branch. We’re extremely stable in EVE Online with an awesome core player base, and we hope to apply the same formula to build our new WoW guild.

The Goal

Our goal in World of Warcraft is simple: build up a group of active core players so that we can focus on progression raiding! Since our background is purely EVE Online (and some Albion Online), we believe that we’ll have a pretty unique take on the timeless MMO. Since communication and comradery is something that we’ve already been building for nearly 2 years in EVE Online, we should be able to apply these soft skills to raiding.

The Strategy

In only a few days, we’ve had nearly 10 of our players pick up the new expansion, and we’ve been gearing up and enjoying ourselves in the new catch-up zone: Argus. After our players get their footing in the game, we’ll be running through some of the old Legion content, like Tomb of Sargeras. Luckily, most of our boosted characters have started at sufficient iLvL to start dipping our toes into most of the content that the game has to offer.

While we’re fleshing out our core player base, we’ll be reaching out to returning players on the forums, Reddit, and our server. The goal is to bring new blood into the Krypted family, after all!

The Benefits

World of Warcraft is one of the oldest, most successful MMOs. We’re looking to start a complete branch to strengthen our community. We’re hoping that this move will bring in more like-minded players to Krypted, who are just looking for a tight-knit gaming family to enjoy some pixels. We expect this branch to become another piece of the Krypted core.

If you’re a Seed or any of our EVE Online players, feel free to reach out to Bear and chat about the game. We’re looking to bring in a few more players from our EVE Online branch so that we can get a sufficient number of players to seed our guild. World of Warcraft is a pretty good supplement to EVE Online, since you can run dungeons or other content while you wait for fleets, or while you’re mining.
